A bit about me:
My wife Emily and I relocated to the Bradenton / Sarasota area last year from the Chicago suburbs. I was born in Illinois but grew up in South Florida. It has taken me many years to finally come home again! We are so happy to be in this wonderful area.
I have an extensive background in all things home related. After graduating High School, I started out in the retail hardware industry stocking shelves and helping people. I grew into a buyer position and eventually ran the store as the general manager for several years. I partnered with a friend and we started to buy and flip houses. We did 10 houses in our first year! I eventually bought him out and had my own remodeling / construction company for 6 years. I did so much work for a local kitchen and bath company, we decided to join forces. I went to work full time for them. I was an installer, manager, supervisor, and eventually ran the construction end of the business. At any given time I had between 6-10 concurrent projects running with a crew of 12-20 sub contractor installers. I was there for 23 years!
At the same time I also had my own electrical business with an unlimited electrical license in the State of Illinois. I would do the electrical portion of our projects on my time. I have been licensed for over 20 years!
Moving to Florida has been an eye opener! I applaud the way the state of Florida has a handle on contractor licensing. I always follow the rules and make sure all of our projects are properly permitted, and completed on time and on budget!
The standard that I hold all of the employees and subcontractors to is simple. "How would I want it done in MY HOUSE?" Although it is a simple standard I hold the bar pretty high. I recognize the importance of showing up when I say I will and doing the job to completion. I do things right the first time. I take care of problems and have become friends with many former customers.
I have done it all, not just the electrical, but cabinetry, trim, tile work, drywall and painting. I have worked under the license of plumbers and can pipe and trim with the best of them. There isn’t much I haven’t done or can't do.
My new Florida business will focus on Residential Electrical and Handyman Services. Small remodeling projects such as under cabinet LED lights, back splash tiling, replacing vanity cabinets, replacing ceiling fans and light fixtures, automation devices, repair and replacement of outlets and switches, upgrading breaker panels or handling the rough and trim electrical for a bigger remodeling project. Don't forget LED lights for your lanai.
If you need work done, and want it done right the first time, please give me a call. I charge a fair price and will show up for our appointment. I'm looking forward to servicing you. Please give me a call today!
